I needed a good laugh today, so I am sharing these here in case you do too...
deep thoughts... by jack handy
"It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man."
"Dad always thought laughter was the best medicine, which I guess is why several of us died of tuberculosis."
"The face of a child can say it all, especially the mouth part of the face."
"If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."
"If you ever catch on fire, try to avoid looking in a mirror, because I bet that will really throw you into a panic."
"Sometimes, when I lie in bed at night and look up at the stars, I think to myself, "Man! I really need to fix that roof."
"It's sad that a family can be torn apart by something as simple as a pack of wild dogs."
AND MY PERSONAL FAVORITE...
"Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes."

Serenity Prayer
GOD, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change
Courage to change the things I can and the
Wisdom to know the difference.
Living ONE DAY AT A TIME;Enjoying one moment at a time;Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is,not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life, and supremely happy with Him forever in the next.
Amen

New to this...
Personally, I think my family life is hilarious. Everyday I'm laughing at or with somebody! My goal in 'blogging' is to share that ridiculous amount of joy with others. We tend to be a bit strange and we are far from a 'conventional' family. I'm not Martha Stewart but I do have a Martha muscle I like to flex once in a while.
My goal each day is that my kids feel like they are more important than anything else that demands my time or attention (i.e. housework, job, etc.) So eating on paper plates once in a while or stepping over the occasional pile of laundry is fine by me...if it means more quality time with my little ones. Oh, and we try to dance everyday. Like goofy, who cares who's watching kind of dancing. Which usually helps meet another goal of laughing together each day.
So, here I go. I've jumped into the sea of bloggers. Hopefully I can keep up!
P.S. we are in the process of buying a new digital camera, so it may take a bit for current pics...
